LEBANON - The country's private Egyptian Electricity

"The Jordanian authorities have suspended the supply of electricity in Lebanon due to disruptions in gas pipelines in the region," reports The Daily Star. It is the explosion on Feb. 5 of a gas pipeline in Egypt since 2009 channeling of energy - at least 100 megawatts - to Lebanon via Jordan and Syria.

A statement of Electricité du Liban (EDL) published on February 22 indicates that "the power shortage, which already suffers from Lebanon, will intensify over the next two weeks. Jordan has closed its supply from the February 20, "the Lebanese daily English.
