EGYPT - Mubarak rejects corruption allegations

President Hosni Mubarak broke his silence for the first time since his fall on February 11. In an audio message broadcast by the Saudi channel Al-Arabiya, he denied abusing his authority to amass wealth and expressed its readiness to cooperate with any investigation, the newspaper reported. Mubarak denounced the smear campaigns against him.

Making his comments came after the events of April 9 and 10, who demanded the trial of the former head of state and former senior regime officials.
