Berlusconi, King does not play

On the day of the celebration of 65 anniversary of the Italian Republic, the press 'Belpaese' highlights a new blunder starring Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. Shortly before the Carabinieri parade began at the Imperial Forum, 'Il Cavaliere' rose from his seat and walked to the King, who witnessed the event along with many other heads of state.

Berlusconi exchanged some words with the King, asking about his health, and in doing so touched her arm. Shortly after he sat down. Then, President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, Berlusconi approached and whispered something. At that time, the Italian prime minister he spoke with Don Juan Carlos, this time without touching.

"As is known," points out 'Il Corriere della Sera, "is forbidden to play kings and queens, and squeeze my hand without being the ones who make the first move." However, it highlights 'La Repubblica', "Don Juan Carlos is a friend of the Italian people and know to ignore this little slip." In any case, the Italian leader has a habit of being too close and warm with your guests and behaved the same way with all who were there, as Afghan President Hamid Karzai and the president of the European Union, Herman Van Rompuy .

At the G8 summit in France last week, Berlusconi had caused another embarrassing situation. Television cameras captured the Italian prime minister as he vented with the U.S. president, Barack Obama, lamenting the "dictatorship of the left-wing judges" who, in their view, pursuing him since he went into politics 17 years ago.

Following the controversy, Zarzuela has clarified that 'Il Cavaliere' came to the King during the military parade to apologize to rise to the passage of each flag. Following criticism of the Italian press Berlusconi, a spokesman for the Zarzuela Palace, who witnessed the scene, explained that the head of the Italian Government aimed to tell the King, commissioned by Napolitano, who do not have to get up to step of each flag, reports Europa Press.

Officials who witnessed the parade have risen and sat down again several times to pass the many Italian flags military squads, but also of the countries participating in international missions with Italy, before the presidential. The same spokesman has played down the fact that Berlusconi will play the King in the arm when he has approached and has indicated that at the beginning of ceremony than heads of delegations were greeted with hugs and kisses to the Spanish monarch.
