Nicaragua - Among the advisors to the president, a nephew of Gaddafi

A diplomatic telegrams revealed by Wikileaks states that Lashtar Muhamad, a nephew of Muammar Gaddafi, is private secretary and adviser for international affairs of Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega. The telegram dated 2007, is signed by the United States ambassador in Havana, Paul Trivelli, and has a nephew as part of the spy network of Gaddafi.

According to La Nacion, the newspaper of Costa Rica has been the investigation Lashtar Muhamad, 51, arrived in Nicaragua in 1980, after the triumph of the Sandinista revolution in 1979 to work at the Libyan embassy in Managua as representative Gaddafi interests in the region. He also runs two businesses - one of which is to obtain a frequency of television - is an alternate member to the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN), has the rank of ambassador and has an office in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua.
