ITALY - A judicial reform befitting Berlusconi

By 314 votes against 296, the Italian Chamber of Deputies passed April 13 the bill reducing the limitation period for defendants whose criminal record. If passed in the Senate, this legislation will mean, among other things, reduce the eight-month trial Mills, in which Silvio Berlusconi is accused of corruption and witness tampering.

With this latest ad personam law, "justice is being trampled in favor of the Chairman," said the daily.
