Mogadishu. (Eurpa Press) .- The powerful Somali al-Shabaab militia has vowed to avenge the death of the leader of Al Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden, and ensures that the Saudi terrorist's death will not affect plans to take over the country and, ultimately, "dominate the world." "We will redouble our jihad (holy war) and we will defeat our enemies." Osama, may God rest his soul, is not the first martyr, "said the spokesman for al Shabaab, Rage Mohamud Ali, from Mogadishu, the capital.
"We never deviate from the path of Sheikh Osama, and we will continue our jihad until we taste the death that confronted our brother Osama, or do we do with the win and dominate the world," he added. After the death of Bin Laden, some militia members wearing white robes elected as a sign of mourning for his battles against the Somali Army.
The aim of Al Shabaab is to recover the national government under Islamic law that was taken from the so-called Union of Islamic Courts that ruled the country until 2006 before being expelled by the transitional government forces backed by Ethiopian Somali.
