SWEDEN - Fighter Planes to Libya

The Swedish government decided on March 29, to contribute to the intervention in Libya with eight fighter planes, reports Svenska Dagbladet. The intervention follows the declaration of solidarity that Sweden, which is not a NATO member, has signed with the organization. This is the first time since 1961 and the crisis in Congo that the country participates with fighter jets to a UN mission.
