LIBYA - The Debate within the coalition on arming insurgents

"The U.S. and the UK have stirred the threat of arming the rebels if the Libyan air strikes fail to topple Muammar Gaddafi," announced the London daily. For the first time, the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton argued that the delivery of weapons to the insurgents was in line with the UN resolution on Libya, which is discussed by France and Italy.

March 29, some forty countries and regional organizations were meeting in London.
