The Latakia Syrian army reinforced to stop bloodshed

Libyan Army military reinforcements have come in Latakia, northwest of the country to try to stop the snipers, who yesterday killed ten soldiers, two protesters and two gunmen and wounded 150 more in clashes between civilians and police during a peaceful demonstration. According to the opposition, a unit despecial snipers fired from rooftops of several buildings in the city, located 350 kilometers northwest of Damascus.

Were published online videos in which civilians is severely injured. State media, however, reported that armed men were among the demonstrators. The Syrian government presented the protests as a campaign of radical forces, seeking a division between different religious groups to destabilize Syria.

The opposition denies this version. In recent days, security forces fired on demonstrators repeatedly denounced the opposition. The advocacy organization Amnesty International considers that there were reports that dozens of deaths only in the province of Dara, in the south, are credible.
