" The new system uses cameras and radar to detect missiles and shoot them in order to neutralize them in the air.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has acknowledged that it is "a partial solution" that will not end attacks from Gaza. "I do not want to create the illusion that the Iron Dome will provide a total solution," said the chief minister said, adding that the solution to the threat of the rockets should be "a combination of deterrence and offensive and defensive measures."
