The British government is preparing to send military officers to advise the Libyan rebels against the forces of Muammar Qaddafi, announced in a daily. The team of a dozen men in particular will "assist the National Transitional Council to better protect civilians," said Minister of Foreign Affairs. Britain has however ruled out any deployment of troops on the ground.
The Libyan foreign minister said that the arrival of advisers would reduce the chances of peace in Libya.
