A collision between a truck and a bus leaves 15 dead in Paraguay

At least fifteen people were killed Tuesday and another fourteen were injured as a result of a collision between a heavy truck and a bus occurred in Ypacaraí, a municipality on the outskirts of Asuncion, authorities said. The accident occurred at km 44, Route 2, connecting the capital Paraguayan Ciudad del Este, 330 kilometers east of Asuncion.

He explained that among the dead include the driver of the regular bus company "San Luis" which left the terminal in Asuncion to Ciudad del Este on the border with Brazil. Some media say the bus traveling 26 people at the time of the tragedy. "I never saw an accident of this magnitude," said the prosecutor, who explained that the deceased were taken to the local morgue for identification and the wounded to nearby hospitals.
