Protests in various parts of Jordan

Thousands of Jordanians have rallied Friday in the Jordanian capital Amman and other Jordanian cities after the noon prayer, demanding political reforms in the country. The main demonstration took place at the Great Mosque Hussein in the center of the Jordanian capital, where those present chanted slogans against the government and have called for the dissolution of Parliament as well as constitutional reforms and the fight against corruption .

A large number of police have been monitoring the protest, which was convened by the Islamic Action Front, the main opposition group, and other pan-Arabist and leftist groups. Participants are directed to the square Najil in East Amman to attend a political rally called by the opposition coalition "March 24" to demand democratic reforms.

Moreover, groups of supporters of Jordanian regime have begun to focus not far from where you place the protest march. Apart from Amman, there have been protests in Karak, in the center, Maan, in the south and Irbid in the north. Furthermore, in Zarqa, north of the country, 40 policemen were injured, two of them, stabbed, during the dispersal of a demonstration Salafi, said a police spokesman told AFP.

In March, the Jordanian government accused the Islamists of inciting political protests and said the opposition is "playing with fire."
