Saif al-Islam: "If they hear fireworks, do not confuse them with fire"

Tripoli. (Reuters) .- Saif al Islam Gaddafi, son of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, says the streets of Tripoli are brimming with jubilant crowd throwing fireworks, Korean slogans for Gaddafi and celebrates its long-term. "All is calm", has told the small group of foreign journalists who have been entering the country with official permission.

"If they hear fireworks, do not confuse them with gunfire," said Saif. "Peace is returning to our country," said Saif al Islam Gaddafi, who called "lies" reports that certain media are spreading. He also denied that his father ordered to bomb civilians. "We laugh at this information", commented.

Also admitted it was wrong to ban the entry of foreign journalists, who now urges interviewing "hundreds of thousands" of Libyans. "The main problem is the hostile media campaign against us. They want to show that Libya is on fire, is going a great revolution," criticized Gaddafi, 38. Finally, he stressed that the Libyans remain "united".

The son of Libyan leader announced that the Army is beginning to rein in the west of the country to give "an opportunity for negotiations" and hopes that this Saturday will reach a ceasefire agreement to negotiate with "terrorists" . During the meeting with foreign journalists arrived in Tripoli with an official escort, Gaddafi's son said that currently there are "problems" at two locations west and Zawiya Misrata.

"We are dealing with terrorists," he said. "The Army has decided not to target terrorists and provide an opportunity for negotiations," he continued. "We hope to do so peacefully and to do it tomorrow," he added.
