The FBI has confirmed the arrest of most wanted criminals in the United States, considered "gangster" by U.S. authorities: James "Whitey" Bulger, 81 years old, accused of committing several murders in Boston while working as a FBI informant against other criminals and gangsters.
Martin Scorsese was inspired by Bulger for the movie The Departed. The arrest was made possible by monitoring Bulger's girlfriend, Catherine Greig. Bulger and Greig have been fugitives for more than 16 years since Bulger was indicted on federal charges for his involvement in the murders of 19 people while serving as an informant for the FBI.
