MEXICO - The U.S. ambassador resigns

Carlos Pascual leave Mexico, "as the newspaper of Mexico City in one of its Sunday edition. "He does not want his dispute with Calderon harm relations between the two countries." The Web site Wikileaks had published diplomatic cables in which Pascual denounced the poor coordination of Mexican authorities in the fight against the drug cartels.

President Felipe Calderón had then criticized his "ignorance".
