Libya accused of spying on the three Dutch soldiers captured

The Hague. .- The Libyan state television accused of spying on the Dutch troops captured three midweek by Muammar al-Gaddafi's troops as they tried to evacuate two of their compatriots in the North African country, NOS radio reported today in The Hague. Three Dutch soldiers had landed by helicopter in the city of Sirte after takeoff from the warship "MS Tromp." Upon landing were captured immediately by militias loyal to the Libyan leader.

"The goal of the mission of the helicopter was leaving or picking up spies Libyan soil," said the Libyan state television. This is an "international conspiracy" against Gaddafi, also cited reports from Dutch news agency ANP. The three soldiers had been accused before of violating international law.

Netherlands negotiate hard to secure the release of three detainees. The government today declined to give details in The Hague. "Now it is priority the welfare of our military," said only the Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
