"The crime of accusing Assange exists only in Sweden"

How is Mr. Assange? I talked to him last night. Is excited about working in the events in Libya and Wikileaks: soon see how. Have not published any longer? Has released just three percent of the documents in his possession. Are you worried about the charges? They are taken very seriously. In addition it is hard to forget, because it is forced to wear a ankle bracelet that allows the police to have him always controlled.

It's better than being in prison. Sure, but is that anyone who faced similar charges in the United Kingdom would be treated much better. What exactly is accused "of a crime exists only in Sweden. It is a strange accusation. Did not he is accused of rape? No, because sex that our client had with the two Swedish citizens who now accuse him was consensual.

So ...? I would add that that of which he is accused, in the United Kingdom or in my country, Australia, crime would be nowhere. And in Sweden it is crime? In Sweden what has happened is that for a sexual offense would, in principle the requirement was the use of force, but considering crime has recently evolved to a point very misleading.

Was not it for not using condoms? In any case, we must be careful to distinguish between what is socially reprehensible and violent crime. And talk about a very serious accusation that has caused immense damage to my client. Why ask for his extradition? That's another interesting point.

In the past two years, Sweden has taken just two warrants of arrest for sex crimes: that of a child rapist and Julian Assange. Obviously there is a clear and flagrant legal disproportion. Why? Because the universal media attention is tempting for some Swedish politicians display their strength against the alleged sexual offenses.

How do you base to say? We offered our cooperation to the prosecutor before he issued the arrest warrant, but preferred attend it. In addition, the Swedish prime minister made some political statements that grossly interfered in the process, said his lawyers did not know the rights of women.

What if extradited to Assange? That in Sweden held a closed trial. What would leave in obvious helplessness. How do you defend Assange? Denies absolutely any non-consensual sexual practice. When he learned of the arrest warrant was presented to me in a police station in London and I could see the dismay on reading the charges.

What are the reasons you-de-cree women who denounced it? Sympathize with them: it is very difficult to maintain and more sex charges against a public figure. I also regret the media intrusion they have suffered, but not know their motives. What I do know is that there were messages between them and their friends who expressed their intention to ruin the reputation of Assange and also to get large sums of money to do so.

Do not you think you may have someone else behind these charges? "There has been speculation that have been promoted by the CIA, but just do not know. What happens next? Appealed the detention order before the High Court and, if the appeal is unsuccessful, before the Supreme Court and if not successful, the Court of Strasbourg.

How long will the resources? About a year at least. How many years can fall? Between two and four, but let's be serious: sexual allegations in Sweden does not stand up to serious examination. They have no base. So why worry? "We care much more to be extradited from Sweden to the United States on charges of espionage brought against him there.

If you do not even U.S. citizens. UU. Is Australian. At least, they can not apply the charge of treason, but do not think it will escape trial in the U.S.. UU. "In Australia also accuse him? Australian citizen and I am ashamed of my government, because instead of protecting its citizens Assange in Wikileaks case, the prime minister accused him of acting irresponsibly by leaking secrets and announced that it would extradite EE.

UU. No longer fit or Australia. Fortunately, Australian Justice launched an independent investigation that concluded government dismissing all charges. Because the only thing he has done is make Assange editor. It is shocking that Australia give political asylum to many foreigners and not to its own citizens.

Mr Assange now published his memoirs in order to pay his firm. Only five of us working on the case. In EE. UU. would be more and more expensive. And Mr. Assange has every right to say what he thinks of his own book, especially when there are others in the market attributing all sorts of statements.
