Syria accuses infiltrators groups of protesters slaughter

Cairo. .- The Syrian Interior Ministry accused the group of infiltrators to shoot the demonstrations that took place Friday in various parts of the country against the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Asad. "Some of inciting to violence, intruders and paid for by known external sectors infiltrated the demonstrators and opened fire indiscriminately in order to cause a division between civilians and police," says the ministry said in a statement released by the agency SANA news.

The official source, however, did not say what outside groups concerned. Since the beginning of opposition demonstrations in Syria, the Assad regime claims to be victim of attacks by foreign groups, among other reasons for supporting movements like the Palestinian Hamas and Lebanese Hezbollah.

In a statement today, the Syrian Interior Ministry said that attacks by these groups during the day yesterday had the clear instigation of television and Internet networks. At least 17 people, including civilians and security forces, were killed in Syria during the political protests that spread across the country and was particularly violent in the southern city of Dera.

The call, dubbed the "Friday the resistance" achieved a significant share but ended up in one of the bloodiest days since the revolt began in the middle of last March. The human rights activist and lawyer Syrian Haizam Maleh told Efe that the repression of Deraa forces claimed the lives of 17 people participating in demonstrations against the regime of Assad.

This figure was confirmed by the former political Yasir Saleh Hajj, who said that among the dead are two doctors, while witnesses summoned by the television channel Al Arabiya UAE raised the death toll to 22. However, Interior Ministry sources said yesterday that among the security forces there were 19 dead and 75 wounded.
