At least one dead and 31 wounded in a bombing in central Jerusalem

The fear has been revived in Jerusalem with the explosive device in front of the International Convention Centre which has caused the death of a woman of 59 years and 38 wounded in a bombing at the main entrance of the city. Israeli police confirmed ELMUNDO. is that the device was in a bag in the telephone booth at the bus stop line 74, near Jerusalem's central station.

Dozens of ambulances have gone to the scene as police forced pedestrians to leave the area for fear of other explosives. At the time of the explosion of the bomb, containing two kilos of dynamite and nails were two buses near the bus stop. Shimi Atias is the owner of the kiosk near the bus stop.

Reborn. "In 94, a suicide bomber exploded destroying my booth here. I have saved a second time," he says sadly as he named his nephew to help in the establishment is among the seriously injured. Indeed it was he who called the police to warn of the presence of "a suspicious object." His warning came too late as he spoke by telephone, the explosion occurred.

They have established numerous checkpoints to try to find police responsible. At the moment no Palestinian group has claimed responsibility for an attack in a strategic place of Jerusalem in the main entrance and near the busy bus station, the Convention Center, the Calatrava Bridge and the headquarters of the Israeli public broadcasting .

"I hope they do not return the time of the terrorist attacks," he said Meir Jagigi, a bus driver in the area. Islamic Jihad has "applauded" what happened saying "the answer to the crimes of the enemy." The West Bank Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, has been quick to condemn the action of Jerusalem in a statement: "I condemn in the strongest terms the terrorist attack, regardless of who was behind." The tension is evident because it comes amid of escalating violence between Israel and Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip, headed by the Islamist group Hamas.

After the death of eight Palestinians (four civilians and four members of the armed wing of Jihad), the various armed factions threatened to a vengeance. Something that came to be seen this morning with the Grad missile launch against the cities of Ashdod and Beer Sheeva, claimed by Islamic Jihad.

Finally, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has canceled his trip to Russia and probably will do tonight. "Gaza, Hamas and the latest attack in Jerusalem now become its main challenges. "Act decisively and forcefully to defend our citizens," Netanyahu told shortly before the explosion in Jerusalem.
