Israel and Hamas for a truce close positions

Both Israel and the Islamist group Hamas have claimed on Sunday that if the other party stops the attacks "would be prepared for a cease-fire." Palestinian sources in Gaza show that, through foreign diplomatic mediation would have already reached an unwritten agreement. Although this week the Palestinian militias have fired several rockets and mortar shells into southern Israel, the general feeling is that both sides want an end to the spiral of violence more serious in the last two years.

Hamas's attack against an Israeli school bus that left in critical condition at a young age of 16, set off last Thursday wider air offensive in Gaza since Operation Lead, two years ago to claim the lives of 18 Palestinians (12 militiamen and six civilians). On Saturday, the political arm of Hamas proposed a truce without a clear desire of the military wing of the group that controls Gaza.

"If they continue the attacks against citizens and soldiers of Israel, the response will be much harder," warned the prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, at the beginning of the Executive meeting in Jerusalem. His first words were to praise the Iron Dome defense system this weekend has been released neutralizing nine missiles on Ashkelon and Beer Sheva with a 100% effective.

"From a defensive standpoint, Israel has scored a stunning success. Clearly, we need also the factor attacker and the Israeli army has been very successful at hitting terrorist groups Hamas and flatly both low and weapons as a response to criminal attacks. "Right now, the Israeli message is accept a truce and only attack the command to fire rockets from Gaza.

The political and military leadership believes that Hamas "has gotten the message" with the death of several militants and a senior commander of the armed wing. "At the moment Hamas decided by the truce, respect must ensure that all Palestinian groups, "says an Israeli official to the Ynet website.

The Mini Tower Israeli security meeting this afternoon decided not to change the politics of the last days:" Ministers have ordered the Army continue to act against terrorist groups to cease their fire against Israel, "local media reported. At the same time, the counter-terrorism committee has issued a" stern warning "against the possibility of an attack against Israelis in the Far East and Europe.

"Following recent events in Gaza, the terrorist groups intend to carry out attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets abroad during Pesach (the Passover, which begins in a few days)", reads his statement. Minister of Economy, Yuval Steinitz, called long-term end to the Hamas government in Gaza: "Israel is difficult to accept a terrorist regime in Gaza.

Whenever Hamas brings us more, the closer the day that we should subdue Hamas. " Islamist spokesman, Sami Abu Zuhri, told Reuters that "the Palestinian factions do not want an escalation. If Israel attacks cease, the calm will return naturally." A message has been repeated several leaders of the Hamas government in the last few hours trying to convince the militias.

The armed wing of Islamic Jihad has not yet been agreed although it is believed that if Hamas will push you to the truce. A truce that would not include such mortars cities like Sderot and objectives miliatres on the Gaza border. The words of Defense Minister Ehud Barak, favor a truce if the factions ceased their attacks are seen by the Jihad leader Khaled Batsh as "a triumph of endurance." The Islamist government of Ismail Haniya calls for a condemnation of the UN and Arab League to what it defines as "crimes of the Zionist enemy."
