Fidel Castro: I felt pain when he saw that I looked but I can not go to the Plaza

Fidel Castro, the great absentee from the parade of the Revolution yesterday took to the streets of Havana, has wanted to join the celebration of his people with a written message, as it has done regularly since a serious illness removed him from power. In a new installment of "Reflections" contained in the official website "Cubadebate" the Cuban president described as "impressive" and popular military parade and expressed his regret at not having been present.

"I was privileged to see the impressive parade our people commemorated the 50 anniversary of the proclamation of the socialist character of the Revolution and the Bay of Pigs victory," wrote the Cuban leader Fidel Castro says he enjoyed "a long and detailed narrative music, gestures, faces, intelligence, martial and fighting spirit "of the Cuban people to parade in Havana's Revolution Square and the participation of the artistic group of infants and adolescents," The Beehive.

" "It's worth having lived for the show today [on Wednesday], and always worth remembering those who died to make this possible," he said remembering the fallen fighters of the island during the failed Bay of Pigs invasion, Castro (Bay Pigs) in compliance with these five decades. Fidel Castro, 84, remains out of power since 2006 by a serious illness last year but has participated in some public activities.

"I could be in the Plaza, maybe an hour in the sun and the prevailing heat, but not three hours. Attracted by warmth prevailing there, I would have created a dilemma," said Castro. "Believe me, I felt pain when I saw that some of you looked me in the gallery. I thought that everyone would understand that I can no longer do so often did," he added.

He also referred to the opening of the Sixth Congress of the Communist Party of the island, where his chair was empty, and said he could "see, in the words of Raul and the faces of the delegates to the maximum event of our Party the same feeling of pride. " "I promised to be a soldier of ideas, and I can fulfill that duty yet," said the end of his writing.
