A truck carrying dangerous goods caught fire and the flames have spread to other vehicles, while many motorists were trapped in twisted metal. The tragedy is consumed when a strong wind raised a dust storm near the village of Kavelstorf along the highway to four lanes Rostock colleague in Berlin.

The collision - With visibility reduced to less than 50 meters has produced a chain collision of 17 cars and three trucks aimed at Rostock, while 23 other vehicles were swabbed on the opposite lane. The highway was closed indefinitely, while at least 30 seriously injured were being treated in area hospitals.

For weeks, the Mecklenburg is hit by drought and an unusual low pressure in the coming days 'Joachim' may cause new wind storms.
