No-fly zone over Libya? "Coalition of the willing"

If someone had believed in the West, he could easily collected by calling for a no-fly zone over Libya some points because the body would fail because of Arab resistance anyway, so now he has a surprise. With astonishing clarity, the Arab League has called for such a zone. Apparently even the still largely authoritarian members of this club is clear that their populations are deeply outraged over the brutal Gaddafi.

The fact that a despot dictators and half Democrats to ensure the right of assembly and freedom of expression is called, shows how much has fallen in recent weeks in the Arab world in motion. The decision of Cairo is however provided with small print that brings the local sentiments. The league does not want NATO enforces the no-fly zone, military, although this is the only international organization that could without a doubt.

In the Islamic world, NATO is infamous for the Afghanistan mission. The EU will be able to fill this gap not what one would imagine appear at the Arab League, because that Europe is militarily weak and probably also politically divided. Conceivably, however would be a "coalition of the willing" under American leadership and participation of Arab States.

In the forthcoming discussions of the UN Security Council will be seen whether President Obama, who was at the beginning of his term as the hope of Arabia, is still rouse to the leadership role expected from the breaks in this strategically important region of the world, many of them.
