Tripoli / Istanbul .- Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi, offered money to his supporters in the fight against insurgents, said today the opposition media. According to media, Mr Gaddafi sent mediators to the cities of Misrata, Nalut and Al Zawiya, in the west, where in days past, there were fierce clashes between rebels and troops of the regime, to offer its people a lot of money in exchange for loyalty.
Apparently, all inurgentes representatives rejected the offer. The website of the opposition Al Manara also reported that "traitors" in cars moved through the streets of Misrata urging young people to join the "Islamic holy war against Gaddafi." Those young people who responded to the call immediately to have been kidnapped by the henchmen of Gaddafi.
According to the Arabic daily Al Sharq al Awsat, Gaddafi's envoys course offer 250,000 dinars (about 145,000 euros or 202,000 U.S. dollars) to each family who had lost a relative during the riots. All other families would receive 20,000 dinars. Previously, the Qaddafi regime had officially pledged aid payment of 500 dinars a month to every Libyan family.
